Q: As a 21 year old woman, what goals should I be working toward in my life?
A: To be honest with you, I have been the girl that thought I had to have certain accomplishments by a certain age. That's just a mind trick, influenced by what society tells us we should have accomplished and informed by those who usually have not accomplished those things by a certain age. Your goals depend on the vision YOU have for your life.
But I would say, generally, you should have goals to establish your independence, such as have a healthy savings account, develop a plan to pay off any bad debt that you might have, being able to support yourself and your expenses. If you're still living at home, use the time wisely to stack your coins, experiences and knowledge about what you want.
Do you have education or career plans, do you want to travel...take some time and think about your vision and go from there, but don't be so hard on yourself if goals aren't met by a certain age. You just keep working until you've accomplished what you want to accomplish. Thanks for your question!
