I have just spent an intensive 3 days in Atlanta at Rosetta Thurman's Launch YOur Business Boot Camp! Rosetta is a woman that I admire and respect because she is walking her talk, using her story to empower women, and ultimately changing lives.
I was able to meet other powerful women that will change the world one day. And there were women in the room that told me, I toll will change this world. I have aligned myself with amazing, dynamic and influential women are also happen to be getting PAID! And I mean millionaire money.
I have wanted to attend this event in the past, but ignored it. Saying I didn't have the money or the timing wasn't right for my schedule. EXCUSES! I couldn't ignore God any longer after I received several emails and a voicemail telling me that I had a BONUS TICKET to the event. And can you believe that I did not even call her support team back right away?! TRIPPIN'!
And now, the woman that I have called my virtual mentor (in my head) has been a part of my reality. She has seen my face. She's heard my name. I am actively aligning myself with the right people that are going to help me, inspire me and encourage me to walk MY talk.
The third installment of The SPARK Series, that I'm writing in preparation for the Spark Motivational Brunch is A: Align Yourself with Like-minded People. Remember my blog post about upgrading your friends? This is not to say that you should completely abandon your friendships but it is for you to assess the value of the time you spend with people that aren't linke-minded versus the time you spend with people that inspire you and push you. And you should consider how these relationships affect your personal brand, after all YOU are your brand. And you are the sum of your top 5 friends.
You see, God has already said "YES" to us to get everything we want and desire in life. He's just patiently waiting for us to to say "YES" to our blessings and be willing to accept his answers. Sometimes the problem is that we don't believe in the power, worth and value that we bring to the table. And we end up spending so much time avoiding the very things that we say we want. And that my friends is FEAR. And that is something we can do something about right now!
